Tools & Resources To Help You Succeed

Finding the right tools and resources is essential to building your success. The following is list of those which I have personally used, tested and found to be beneficial in building my business. Some offer free trial periods, while others may offer discounts. In the event you decide to purchase or subscribe to any of these tools, I want to make you aware that some may allow me to earn a commission or referral fee which helps support parts of this site – of course, at no cost to you. To be clear, no company, tool or resource was added to this list, unless I have used them and recommend them for you to consider to help in building your business.

Hosting Your Website

Over the years, I have tried a number of web hosting companies, each with their own set of pros and cons. I finally found one that has been extremely reliable, with fast download speeds and the best customer service yet. As a matter of fact, I host this website with them. Hosting plans start at $3.99 per month, I strongly recommend upgrading to the WordPress optimized hosting plan – plus, get a FREE domain when you register.

One-Time Tasks

Have a quick task that you need help with? This sounds crazy, but there is a marketplace that allows you to order a task or service as if it were a product. Even better, most are only $5! I have found people to edit videos, create logos, write articles, transcribe interviews and so much more – there are over 100 categories of services. You definitely want to check out this site! HINT: If I have an important task, I sometimes spend an extra $5-$10 and assign it to a few different people, giving me several different options to select from.

Virtual Assistants & Experts

When you have a project that is a little more involved or need some on-going help part-time, visit Upwork.com. You can find a virtual assistant or an expert in a variety of areas to help with administrative tasks, custom graphics, securing media interviews or just about anything else. The site matches you with people that have the skill sets you need and on a budget you set. My favorite feature tracks the work of your virtual employee, taking random screenshots while they work.
